Two Vehicle Accident
Sandy Landing & Vines Creek Roads
On Tuesday February 25 at 7:43 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Sandy Landing and Vines Creek Roads. The ambulance crews and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle accident involving a Mazda Protégé and Dodge Neon. Emergency personnel were able to remove all occupants from their vehicles without any mechanical extrication. Millville Volunteer Fire Company medical personnel provided initial care at the scene to the operator of the Mazda Protégé and her infant, who was properly restrained in a car seat, and to the operator of the Dodge Neon. All patients were then transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for additional evaluation and treatment. Assistant Chief Shawn Evans declared the situation under control at 8:11 a.m. and turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
