Dear Resident,

This year Millville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. is celebrating its 87th year in service. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support during our annual FIRE fund drive mailing. Every contribution is important to sustaining the operations of the Fire Company. The Millville Volunteer Fire Company currently has 2 stations in operation. We have a fleet of 13 pieces of apparatus ranging from fire trucks to utility pieces. Last year alone the Millville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 473 Fire Calls and 2,600 Emergency Medical Calls. Without your donations and continued support the services we provide of protecting life and property would not be possible.

The volunteers and staff of Millville Volunteer Fire Company are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Members and staff participate in many hours of training to be prepared for your time of need. This FIRE fund drive is completely separate from the Community Heroes Capital Campaign which funds future capital expenditures. Support from this FIRE fund drive allows us to fulfill our operations budget along with maintaining our current apparatus.

MVFC Station 1

Millville Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in firefighting, emergency medical care or assisting at fund raisers (includes Auxiliary members), please contact the station. Once again, thanks for supporting your Millville Volunteer Fire Company.

This year’s Fire Prevention theme is: Cooking Safety starts with YOU. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of home cooking fires. Keep a close eye on what you are cooking. Items with longer cooking times you should set a timer to help monitor them carefully. Clear the cooking area of anything that can burn, such as dishtowels, oven mitts, food packaging and paper towels. A working smoke detector is your first defense in fire safety.

Donations can also be made thru our website: www.millvi11e84.com home page and click the make a donation link (Maltese Cross with the Firemen in the middle). Donations are tax deductible thru the IRS 501(c)(3) public charity qualifications.

Again, we cannot thank our community residents enough for your loyal financial support to the volunteers of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. On behalf of the Officers and members, please have a safe and joyous holiday season!

Sincerely,

Gregory W. Hocker
