On Wednesday June 16th, Millville EMS and Sussex County Medic 105 were dispatched to a subject fallen at Grotto's Pizza in the York Beach Mall. Upon arrival the BLS crew was advised that the patient had fallen 15-20 feet onto a concrete surface. Due to the height of the fall and the patient?s injuries an Aviation unit was requested for transport to an appropriate Trauma Center. Maryland Trooper 6 out of Centerville, Md. responded to the scene for the Medivac. The Bethany Beach VFC secured the landing zone and provided traffic control until the patient could be loaded into the helicopter. Units cleared and were placed back into service. Units responding; A84, SCEMS Medic 105, Command 70, Rescue 70, Traffic Control 70, SBPD, BBPD.
