On Tuesday, June 5 at 10:23 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 37362 Atlantic Avenue across from the Taylor Bank in Ocean View.   The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a single vehicle accident.   A Ford Escort was heading east on Atlantic Avenue when the driver left the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, cracking it at the base.    Ambulance personnel treated the driver at the scene, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.   Electric power was interrupted to a very small section of the power lines as the Delmarva Power Company replaced the pole and restored electric service.   The replacement of the utility pole occurred during the nighttime hours so there was no interruption to commuter traffic on the morning of June 6.     Second Assistant Chief R.J. Kauffman turned the accident scene over to the Ocean View Police for investigation.
