On Saturday July 14th at 0900hrs, Duty Crew #4 led by 3rd Asst. Chief Hickman was in station and on Duty. The crew started the day out with drills on TRUCK 84 followed by a drafting drill with ENGINE 2. Each member was educated or refreshed on basic drafting principles and techniques. ENGINE 2 picked up the drafts effortlessly and each person was able to flow large volumes of water. This operation is useful in non-hydranted areas where water sources may be found in pools, ponds, streams or by using dry hydrants.
