On Friday July 17 at 3:39 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at Double Bridges and Parker House Roads. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to the scene of a bicyclist who was struck by a motor vehicle. Initial treatment was given to the victim at the scene, who was conscious and responsive. A landing zone was established at the Melson Funeral Home property on Central Avenue and Parker House Road. The Christiana Care Life Net 2 helicopter transported the victim to Christiana Hospital for additional evaluation and treatment.
