Motor Vehicle Fire - 38000 Block Muddy Neck Road

On Monday, May 18 at 1:58 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle fire in the 38000 Block of Muddy Neck Road. The firefighters and ambulance crew arrived to a Volkswagen Mini-Bus on fire on the side of the road. The two occupants were already safely out of the vehicle with no injuries. Engine Lieutenant Gregory Tietmeyer ordered a 1-¾ inch line put into service from Engine 84-2 to extinguish the fire. When Engine 84-4 arrived on the scene, an additional 1-¾ inch compressed air foam line was placed into service. The fire was declared under control at 2:12 p.m. Engine Lieutenant Gregory Tietmeyer turned the fire scene over to the Delaware State Police. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
