On Saturday May 30 at 8:50 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Whites Neck Road. Within a minute of the dispatch, emergency units were responding to the alarm. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle accident with one vehicle being struck in the rear by the other. The operator of the vehicle that was struck was the only person who needed to be transported to the Millville Medical Center for additional treatment. The situation was declared under control at 9:13 a.m. Truck Lieutenant Greg Hocker turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
