On September 11th through the 13th the MVFC hosted Dive Rescue International's Dive Rescue Specialist I class. 30 students from area departments including 6 from Millville participated in the course which focused on several aspects of Public Safety SCUBA Diving. The instructors were able to utilize real life experiences, techniques and tips to enhance the diver’s skills. Divers learned to perform scene assessments along with developing a risk/benefit analysis, establishing a last seen point of drowning victims, interacting with media and the family and also how to effectively assist in the post recovery investigation.
