On Wednesday April 28 at 2:19 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Atlantic and Grants Avenues. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a three-vehicle accident. Emergency personnel provided initial care to the operator or the first vehicle then transported the individual to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for additional evaluation and treatment. Two small children in car seats in the first vehicle did not need to be transported and were turned over to a family member. The operators of the second and third vehicles refused treatment. Assistant Chief Shawn Evans declared the situation under control at 2:34 p.m. and turned the scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
