Landing Zone - Station 1-Atlantic Avenue

On Sunday, June 27 at 7:15 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for a landing zone at Station 1 on Atlantic Avenue for a one-year-old infant experiencing breathing problems who had been taken to the Millville Medical Center. Christiana Care medical helicopter Life Net 2 responded for the call. The crew of A84 and Sussex County Paramedics provided initial care at the landing zone for the infant until being transferred to Life Net 2 and flown to the AI duPont Institute Childrens Hospital in Wilmington for additional treatment. Truck Captain Jack Melson was the Officer In Charge. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
