Landing Zone - Station 1-Atlantic Avenue

On Wednesday, July 14 at 3 p.m., Millville Volunteer Fire Company ambulance C84 was dispatched for a medical emergency at the Millville Medical Center for a traumatic injury. The ambulance crew arrived to an individual who came to the Millville Medical Center with a traumatic surf injury to the cervical section of the spine. A determination was made to transport the individual to Christiana Medical Center via the Christiana Care Lifenet 2 medical helicopter. Station 84 was then alerted to establish a landing zone at Station 1 on Atlantic Avenue. The patient was transferred from ambulance C84 to Lifenet 2 and transported to the Christiana Medical Center in New Castle County for additional treatment.
