On Friday, August 6 at 3:46 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Trooper 2 Medical Helicopter were dispatched for a subject injured by a fall in the 34000 Block of Sawtooth Court, Bay Colony. Ambulance B84 responded within 2 minutes of the call with Command 84 and Engine 84-4 following. The ambulance crew arrived to an individual who sustained injuries from a fall and provided initial treatment. Truck Captain Jack Melson established a landing zone for Trooper 2 at the intersection of Sawmill and Colony Drives. The patient was transferred from ambulance B84 to Trooper 2 and transported to the Christiana Medical Center in New Castle County for additional treatment. Truck Captain Jack Melson placed all Millville Volunteer Fire Company equipment available at 4:28 p.m. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
