On Saturday, June 18 at 8:38 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police medical helicopter Trooper 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 32000 Block of Roxana Road. The emergency personnel arrived to a 3-vehicle accident involving a Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Corsica, and a Dodge Ram pickup. Roxana Volunteer Fire Company was also dispatched to the scene to provide a third ambulance. Ambulance personnel and Sussex County Paramedics provided initial care at the scene. The Millville Volunteer Fire Company transported one injured occupant with nonlife-threatening injuries to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for additional treatment. Delaware State Police medical helicopter Trooper 2 transported another occupant with more serious injuries to the Christiana Medical Center. Assistant Chief Shawn Evans declared the situation under control at 9:14 a.m. and turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police.
