Banks Wines & Spirits of Millville held a two-part fundraiser earlier in 2011 to benefit the ambulance side of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company. In the first part, raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win a 5-day Royal Caribbean Cruise for two. The second part was a Food, Wine, Beer & Entertainment affair at the Cripple Creek Gulf & Country Club the evening of February 18 with the winner of the Royal Caribbean Cruise being drawn at this event. The purpose of the fundraiser was to assist the fire company in the purchase of an electric power stretcher for one of their ambulances. On June 23rd Kami, Ted, and Mackie Banks of Banks Wines & Spirits made an official presentation of a check in the amount of $3,569.91 to Millville’s President Clarke Droney and EMS Chief John Watson. All members of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company express their sincere gratitude to Banks Wines & Spirits for this donation.
