Fredd O. Mathewson age 75 of Millville, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Fredd joined the company September 5, 1995. He has served on several committees’ and served as a Rescue Assistant to the Rescue Captain from 1997-1999. Fredd was also a top responder for ems in 2002 and 2004. Received the President’s award for 2003, EMS person of the Year in 2004, and received the Ralph W. Burbage Award for EMS. Served as a Alternate to the State DVFA Conference for several years. Fredd was elected as a Fire police Officer in 2005 and retired in 2009. He received his 15 year member pin on May 17^th 2011. Fredd was an active participant in the EMS service for several years as well as helping around the firehouse and running several errands whenever ask. You could always count on Fredd. He will be missed.

Services for Fredd O. Mathewson are scheduled for February 5, 2014 at Melsons Funeral Home. Viewing from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with services to follow. This will be a full Firemans Funeral and any Companies wishing to participate shall be at Melsons Funeral Home, Ocean View by 10:30.
