On June 17, 2014, at 12:23 p.m. the Millville, Bethany Beach & Roxana Volunteer Fire Companies, along with the Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Medical Helicopter Trooper 2, were dispatched to a 3-vehicle accident involving a Subaru passenger car, work van, and a Sussex County Paramedic Unit.  The operators of the Subaru and Paramedic Unit were transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes with non-life threatening injuries in the ambulances from the Bethany Beach and Roxana Fire Companies, since both of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company ambulances were already in route to Beebe Medical Center with prior patients having medical emergencies.  Assistant Chief Cody Lockwood turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.  "DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY!"
