Single Vehicle MVC with Extrication

On Monday, September 8, 2014, the Millville Volunteer Fire Company responded to its second, single motor vehicle accident of the day at the intersection of Roxana and Burbage roads. The operator of a small Saturn SUV impacted a utility pole on the passenger side of the vehicle. The firefighters performed a mechanical extrication of the operator by removing both the driver side front and rear doors. The operator was transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes with possible life-threatening injuries. The situation was placed under control at 16:38.
