On December 2,2015, the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 32550 Docs Place in the Millville Medical Center. The Tactical Rescue Teams were alerted and dispatched since the emergency involved a car into a building. The police noted that the foot of the operator of a Ford Edge slipped off the brake pedal as he was parking and stepped on the gas pedal. The operator of the vehicle was uninjured and transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for observation. No one inside the building was injured. Millville Deputy Chief Cody Lockwood declared the scene under control at 1542 hours. "DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY!"
