On Thursday, March 11, 2016, the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to an outside fire in the 32000 Block of Burbage Road. The firefighters arrived to an outside fire that was nearby on Roxana Road that was caused by a transformer owned by Delaware Electric Cooperative. Units responding to the alarm were: Engines 84-6, Rescue 84, 84-0, Traffic Control. The fire was quickly extinguished. Rescue 84 remained on scene until the Delaware Electric Cooperative personnel arrived. Assistant Chief Rancel Evans turned the scene over to the Delaware Electric Cooperative at 1810 hours.
