On Wednesday, 5 July 2017, at 1653 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the unit block of Atlantic Avenue (Route 26) for an automobile collision which comprised of an automobile and a pedal cyclist.
Rescue 84-1, Ambulance 84, DSP Helicopter and Sussex County Paramedics were all in route due to the description of the call. Once the fire apparatus arrived and they performed their evaluation of the injured, the DSP helicopter was cancelled.
Fire Chief R.C. Evans commanded this incident.
Rescue 84 was manned by Clarke Droney, Fire Chief R.C. Evans, EMS Chief John Watson and Clayton West.
Fire-Police Harold Lloyd and Harry Warburton were tasked with traffic control.
The injured party was transported to Beebe Medical Center for treatment.
