Reported House Fire in Savannahs Landing subdivision

August 31, 2017

On Thursday, 31 August 2017, at 1649 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted by Sussex County Emergency Operations Center and subsequently responded to the unit block Torie Jordan Court in the Savannahs Landing subdivision for a reported house fire. Fortunately, it appeared to be a malfunctioning fire alarm that triggered this event.
 

MVFC dedicated several pieces of fire apparatus to this fire event. Additionally, Harold Lloyd and Harry Warburton represented the Fire-Police Unit. Company Photographer Norman Amendt captured several photographs. 
 

Ocean View Police Department Sergeant Ballentine, Officer First Class Caselli, and Officer Bowden where at the scene to assist. 
 

Millville VFC fire apparatus was manned by, Pump Operator Brain Mushrush, P.I.O Bob Powell, FF/EMT Tyler Hickman, and FF/EMT Robbie Stephens. 
 

This particular fire event was commanded by Matthew Mudry.
