Working dwelling fire

Your Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Roxana, Frankford, and Dagsboro VFC responded to a house fire in the 300 block of Manor Court in the Mallard Creek subdivision on 2 January 2018, at 0048 hours.

Sussex County Paramedic Unit responded since the initial call stated the possibility of occupants trapped within the dwelling. Fortunately, due to this location, Fire-Police response was not as great as in other types of events.

As the pictures will depict, this family lost most of their belongings. I had the opportunity to meet the family today from this devastating house fire that occurred over night. They were so upbeat considering their loss. The family was so thankful they escaped and their children were not injured. They expressed their sincere thanks to the firefighters that braved the weather elements to extinguish their home overnight.
