Ist Annual Fire & Ice Festival

Event Description:
Experience the Quiet Resorts as you have never experienced them before at the Inaugural Fire & Ice Festival in downtown Bethany Beach! Trade your beach cruiser for your ice skates for a family-friendly weekend full of winter festivities, including an ice sculpture tour and live sculpture demonstration featuring the work of local sculptor Erik Cantine (Berlin,MD), ice skating rink, and -- of course -- a seasonal stop at your favorite shops, restaurants, and businesses. 

The ice rink is provided by Chill Entertainment and sponsored by Southern Delaware Tourism.

Interested in becoming a stop on the sculpture tour? 
Consider becoming an event sponsor! Businesses and retailers are invited to participate in the sculpture tour through purchasing their very own custom, LED-lit ice sculpture to be placed in front of stores and throughout downtown Bethany Beach. Options range from single-block sculptures to an ?interactive? ice sculpture like bowling or corn hole -- and a spot on the sculpture tour!

About the Sculptor:
A resident of Berlin, MD, ice sculptor Erik Cantine has spent over 30 years creating, organizing, and competing in winter festivals and ice carving competitions -- participating in hundreds of events as a competitor, demonstration, and performance ice sculptor. His sculpting has taken him all over the world, competing and placing in three world championships and representing the United States in the art of ice sculpting at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah.
