Last evening I had the distinct honor to attend the 2018 Emergency Services Banquet held at the Blades Volunteer Fire Company.
There was one good reason I attend, 3 members of your Millville Volunteer Fire Company were nominated to receive honors among several categories.
All told, EMS Chief John Watson received the distinguished award of EMS Supervisor of the Year. Chief Watson was nominated for his supervisory skills among his staff of 14 full-time employees and many part-time EMT’s. FF/EMT’s Wally Evans and Keith Baker both received the EMT Excellence Award. EMT Evans and Baker arrived at a home only to find a 42 year old female in cardiac arrest. Their resuscitation efforts afforded this lovely lady and her husband to be in attendance last night. There were many hugs and kisses between all those involved.
Incidentally, SCEMS produced a slide show of approximately 60 photos of which at least 25 of the photographs were obtained from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Social Media Sites.
