April 26, 2018
On Thursday morning, 26 April 2018, at 1100 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted by Sussex County EOC to respond to Fred Hudson Road, east of Cedar Neck Road for a pedacyclist versus automobile collision.
MVFC responded with their Ambulance and Rescue Truck, along with a large contingent of Fire-Police. The entire length of Fred Hudson was impassable for both EMS personnel and the collision investigation conducted by the Delaware State Police Accident investigator. Bethany Beach VFC Traffic Control Unit and Police Department also assisted with this incident today. Today's incident was commanded by Lt. Greg Hocker
The injured individual was transported to BeBee Medical Center for additional treatment by EMT/FF Robbie Robinson and EMT/FF Samantha Lewis.
Performing in the capacity of photographer only today, I applaud the ambulance crew on how they communicated with the elderly individual declaring he was in good hands and need not agonize anymore. You couldn’t put a dollar figure on that persons face once the EMS crew had him calmed down.
