On Sunday, February 23, 2020 we gathered for a full fireman's funeral to celebrate the life of Lifemember Ralph l. Hitchens Jr.  Ralph was an active member with 44 years of service at the time of his passing.  Ralph was our archive custodian and chairperson of the Antique Committee.  His true love was the 1955 Cadillac Ambulance which he kept immaculate!  Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company and Roxana Volunteer Fire Company provided their support with an aerial flag salute at Station 2.  Other mutal aid companies paid their respects and joined in the procession to Laurel Hills Cemetery for the burial.  Deepest sympathy to the Hitchens family and friends.  Ralph will be greatly missed by our company and the community.
