On November 12th, 2021 at 1020 hours, the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid street alarm assignment (Quint 70-4, BBVFC) were dispatched to a reported gas leak in the 33000 block of Heavenly Way in the Solitude development off of Club House Road north of Millville. Upon arrival units found an underground gas line had been cut while someone was digging in the area. Units were able to safely evacuate the area homes and a call was placed to the propane supplier of the development for a priority one response. Engine 84-2 secured a water supply and monitored the area for any dangerous propane levels. Upon arrival of the gas company, the gas line was clamped and the gas leak stopped. The scene was turned over to the gas company and the gas line was repaired.
