On December 26, 2021 at 1756 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation division were dispatched to 36000 block of Double Bridges Road for a reported motor vehicle accident with reported roll over and a pole and wires down.  Rescue 84, Engine 84-4, Ambulance D-84 and Utility 84-13 (FP) made the response.  Upon arrival units found a patient with serious injuries, not trapped and clear of the vehicle.  Rescue 84's crew assisted the BLS and ALS providers in patient care while Engine 84-4 was diverted to a landing zone at the corner of Muddy Neck Road and Parker House Road.  Fire Police were able to shut down Double Bridges Road and reroute traffic away from the accident scene.  The patient was transported to the landing zone the subsequently transported to Christiana Medical Center by Delaware Trooper 2.  DelDot was requested for arrow boards due the the extended closure of Double Bridges Road for pole replacement by Delaware Electric Co-op.  Ocean View PD assisted at the scene and then the scene was turned over to Delaware State Police for investigation.  Units operated for just under one hour.
