On March 17^th, 2022 at 0857 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a box truck at the intersection of Roxana Road & Burbage Road in Millville.  Command 84-8 with Assistant Chief Mike Melson arrived on scene to find a two vehicle MVC with a commercial box truck on its side. Command confirmed entrapment in both vehicles and requested for an additional rescue company to the scene. The crews from Rescue 84 and Rescue 90 (Roxana VFC) extricated the patient in the passenger vehicle while the crew from Engine 84-4 simultaneously completed extrication on the patient in the commercial box truck. Crews completed extrication on both vehicles within 13 minutes of arrival. Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) was requested to assist with traffic control and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) made a response to mitigate leaking fluids into area storm drains.  Units operated for over one hour.
