On Wednesday October 26^th, 2022 at 1330 hours the Annual Fire Prevention Awards Ceremony was held at the Lord Baltimore Elementary School in Ocean View, Delaware.  Each year age appropriate fire safety topics are taught to the various classes and the students are asked to either make a poster or write an essay demonstrating their understanding of the topic.  A panel of judges from the fire companies convene and pick the winners from each grade.  Winners from Lord Baltimore Elementary School will represent the school in a countywide and then a statewide competition for the best poster or essay.  The fire prevention activities conducted at the school are a collaborative effort between the Millville and Bethany Beach volunteer fire companies.  Congratulations to all the winners, as well as all the students at Lord Baltimore, for a job well done.  A special thanks to the staff of Lord Baltimore Elementary School for with your dedication to fire safety.  The winners are as follows:  Kindergarten: Ellie Townsend, Claire Andrews, Aria Nicholson; 1^st Grade: Nolan Hull, Addison Myers, Vivian Powell; 2^nd Grade: Julian Spitzer, Addie Hager, Spencer Breeding; 3^rd Grade: Annabel Pettyjohn, Paige Adkins, Lyla Deck; Special Poster: Kiera Lambrecht; 4^th Grade: Elliana Arauz, Emma Hager, Ava Brightman; 5^th Grade: Emma Sheerer, Declan Wheatley, Finely Hurd.
