On Saturday October 29^th, 2022 at 1142 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Bethany Beach VFC with a structure fire in the 500 block of Alexander Drive in Bethany Beach.  Units arrived to find fire showing from the 3^rd floor and attic of a 3 story townhouse.  First arriving units were able to contain and then extinguish the fire quickly.  Searches were negative.  The crews from Millville Engine 84-2 & 84-6 assisted with extinguishment, ventilation, and salvage operations as well as securing the water supply for the incident.  No injuries were reported.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the incident.  Units operated for approximately one hour before returning to service.  Photos courtesy of Bob Maxwell and Virginia Davidson, BBVFC.
