On November 18, 2022 at 0508 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported unknown type fire in the 30000 block of East Lagoon Road in Dogwood Acres.  Soon after dispatch, the Sussex County EOC received additional calls now reporting a trailer fire and the call was upgraded to a structure fire response.  Fire Chief Guy Rickards arrived on the scene and found a singlewide trailer with an attached porch with fire showing from the rear of the trailer.  First arriving units were able to bring the fire under control in short order.  Primary and secondary searches were negative.  There were no reported injuries.  Engine 84-2, 84-4 and 84-6, Tanker 84 and A-84 made the response.  Mutual aid was provided by Bethany Beach, Dagsboro and Frankford fire companies.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
