On Sunday January 29^th, 2023 at 1058 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation unit were dispatched for a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle reported into a structure with a gasoline leak in the 37000 block of Pettinaro Drive in the Bethany Bay Development.  Upon arrival units found a single vehicle into a structure with one patient needing medical evaluation.  The patient was evaluated by medical personnel and refused transport to a medical facility.  The Sussex County Building Department along with property management were contacted to respond to the scene to evaluate the structural stability of the building.  Engine 84-2, Engine 84-6, Rescue 84, B-84, C-84 and several fire police units made the response.  Units operated for approximately 40 minutes.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson had command of the incident.  The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.    Photos courtesy of FF/EMT Tyler Hickman.
