On Tuesday February 7^th, 2023 at the regular meeting of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company FF/EMT Mike O’Brien was presented the “Ralph L. Banks Sr.” Training Award for the Year 2022.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson, also a co-winner of the award, presented Mike with the award.  Mike attended the Delaware State Fire School’s Fire Academy Accelerated Program in the summer of 2022.  The program allowed Mike to gain his NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II certifications as well as his Nationally Registered EMT certification.  Mike has been a valuable addition to the MVFC and we wish him success in this fire service career.  Mike is currently a Career Firefighter/EMT with the Rehoboth Beach VFC.
