On Tuesday evening January 14^th, 2023 at 1752 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid street alarm assignment were dispatched to the 34000 block of Peppers Corner Road for a reported shed fire.  As additional information was received reporting a well involved animal enclosure with exposures to the other buildings, the full box alarm assignment was added to the response.  Units arrived to find a one story animal enclosure with fire showing throughout.  Units were able to contain and extinguish the fire without significant damage to other structures.  No animals were harmed during the incident.  One firefighter was treated by Millville EMS and transported to Beebe South Coastal Emergency Room for evaluation.  Engine 84-2, Engine 84-4, Tanker 84, Brush 84-0 and both Millville EMS units made the response.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson had command of the incident.  Mutual Aid was provided by the Roxana, Bethany Beach and Frankford VFC.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
