On Saturday July 29^th, 2023 at 2223 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Delaware State Police and the Ocean View Police Department with a search for a lost child in the 30000 block of Maplewood Road in the Denton Woods development north of Millville.  A unified command was established in the area of the child’s residence to coordinate search efforts.  The child was safely located in approximately one hour.  Millville EMS crews evaluated the child and found the child to be uninjured and in good health.  Rescue 84, Brush 84-0, Traffic Control 84-13 and Command 84-8, along with Millville Fire Police made the response.  A/C Rickards had command of the incident. 

The Millville VFC would like to recognize the efforts of the community in assisting with the search to locate this child.  Though it is hard to estimate the exact number of citizens involved in the search, the community’s response was overwhelming and very much appreciated.  #millvilledefire
