On Monday September 11^th, 2023 a crew from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company took the time to become familiar with an apartment complex under construction on Roxana Road in Millville.  Large wood frame buildings under construction are a major concern to fire departments across the country.  Due to the fire protection systems not being operation and the fire stops not yet completed, these fires are extremely dangerous to firefighters and can result in millions of dollars in property loss for the owner and developer.  Several major fires in Charlotte, North Carolina and Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this year show the potential these building pose when on fire.  Kudo to Lt. Ty Webb and crew for being proactive in visiting these sites and discussing water supply and defensive operation strategies.  #millvilledefire
