On Thursday morning November 9^th, 2023 at 0551 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box alarm assignment were dispatched to Box 84-70 for a reported house fire in the 33000 block of North Hampton Circle in the Clearwater development.  The initial box alarm consisted of units from Bethany Beach VFC, Dagsboro VFD, Frankford VFC and Roxana VFC.  Units arrived to find a fire in a hot water heater on fire with smoke condition throughout the residence.  The fire was contained to the hot water heater and the assignment was reduced to Millville VFC units and Tower 70.  Units operated for approximately 30 minutes providing ventilation and checking for extension.    Engine 84-2, Engine 84-4, Rescue 84, Command 84-8, Traffic Control 84-13 and D-84 made the response.
