In the early morning hours of August 6^th, 2024 at 0056 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Clubhouse Road and Bonnie Street north of Millville.  Units arrived to find an accident involving a single vehicle that had run into a pole with power lines down.  The occupants of the vehicle could not be located at the scene, and along with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Aviation Division, a search was conducted of the immediate area in an attempt to locate the occupants.  The roadway was closed down by our Fire Police personnel as well as assets for DELDOT.  Delmarva Power was contacted to repair the pole and restore power to the area.  Rescue 84, Ambulance A-84 and Ambulance D-84 made the response.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson had command of the incident.  Units operated for approximately one hour.
