On Friday August 9^th, 2024 at 2317 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to the 35000 block of Atlantic Avenue in Millville for a motor vehicle collision with rollover.  Units arrived to find a single vehicle accident with a van on its side.  The lone occupant of the van fled the scene.  A ground search was conducted by members of the MVFC and law enforcement in the immediate area with no results.    Rescue 84, Engine 84-6, Engine 84-2, Traffic Control 84-13, Ambulance A-84 and Ambulance B-84 made the response.  Units operated for approximately 45 minutes.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson had command of the incident.  The Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
