After clearing a previous call for service, on Tuesday evening September 10^th, 2024 at 2101 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation division were dispatched to the intersection of Shawnee Drive and Trails End in the Blackwater Village Development for a reported motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.  Units arrived to find a motorcycle accident with two patients.  One patient was transported to a local medical facility and the other patient was transported to Christiana Care in Newark, Delaware by Delaware State Police Trooper 2.  A landing zone was established at Fire Station 2 on Omar Road by the crew of Rescue 84.  Engine 84-6, Rescue 84, Ambulance B-84 and C-84 made the response.  Safety Officer A.J. Moore had command of the incident.  The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. Units operated for approximately one hour.
