On Sunday September 6^th, 2024 at 0812 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box alarm assignment were dispatched to the 80 block of Fairway Drive in the Fairway Village development in Ocean View for a reported house fire with subjects possibly trapped.  Units arrived to find single family home with what appeared to be smoke coming from the eves of the house.  After investigation, it was determined to be steam coming from the roof of the home.  The situation was placed under control and the box alarm assignment was returned to service.  Engine 84-2, Engine 84-4, Rescue 84, Traffic Control 84-13 and Ambulance D-84 made the response.  Units operated for approximately 30 minutes.  Fire Chief Walter Johnson had command of the incident.
