Shortly before 1am on Sunday morning, November 17^th, 2024, Millville VFC along with mutual aid companies were dispatched to a garage fire with extension into a home on Yacht Basin Rd. Command 848 arrived on scene and confirmed a garage fire with extension into a 2-story single family dwelling. First Due Engine 84-2 arrived on scene and provided fire suppression. First Due Special Tower 70 completed searches and performed overhaul. Second Due Engine 84-4 secured 84-2’s water supply and deployed a second handline to assist with fire suppression. Second Due Special R-84 arrived on scene and provided secondary searches and assisted with overhaul. Third Due Engine 90-5 arrived on scene and obtained a secondary water supply and initiated RIT until Third Due Special Rescue 73 arrived on scene and assumed the RIT team. 84-6 and Tanker 84 combined and took the Fourth Due Engine assignment securing 90-5’s water supply. Crews operated for approximately 1.5 hours. Assistant Chief Webb had incident command.
