Tonight we began our transition to our new Pack System. Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (aka SCBA) is important and crucial for Firefighter safety as it allows us to breath in hazardous conditions. Dräger is our new SCBA equipment supplier. They are the world's leading company for this type of equipment. After an extensive evaluation they offered many features and capabilities that were simply unmatched. This will enable us to serve our community for years to come safely and meeting the more stringent NFPA Standards. Thanks to Mike Bick from Dräger who came to MVFC for an orientation session and operational training on the new equipment. More training to come and we look forward to getting this new equipment in service as soon as practical!
