On January 24, 2025 @9:22 a box alarm for the Millville Volunteer Fire Company (84-2, R84, 84-4 and 84-8 Command) along with Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company (Q70-5), Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department (Rescue73, 73-3), Frankford Vol. Fire Co (76-2, 76-3), Roxana Volunteer Fire Company (T90-4), and several Fire Police units were dispatched to Roxana Rd in Frankford for a reported Shed Fire. Units arrived to find a detached, single-story, multi-door garage/shed structure with smoke and flames showing. The structure was not attached to the home on the property. Millville 84 was first on the scene. Lines were deployed, utilities were isolated, and the fire was extinguished using multiple hose lines with the assistance of the other arriving units. The structure and vehicles inside were extinguished. The fire was under control 33 minutes from dispatch and an overhaul of the debris was started. Jack Wilson of Millville Vol Fire Company was the officer in charge of the scene. The Fire Marshal was dispatched to investigate. In addition to the fire units, Millville B84 provided EMT support and Sussex County Medics M105 provided Paramedic Support. Units were cleared as their assignments were finished and all units were cleared by 10:34 - operating for approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes.
