On Sunday November 30th at 1400 hours Station 84 (Millville), Station 76 (Frankford), and Sussex County Medic 105 were alerted for a reported house fire at #8 Lagoon Lane in Rogers Haven north of Millville. Engine 84-2 arrived at 1406 hours to find smoke showing with a possible kitchen fire in the front of the residence. Crews from Engine 84-2 and Truck 84 completed extinguishment and conducted primary and secondary searches. One family pet was removed. The fire was placed under control by Chief Scott at 1418 hours holding units for overhaul. Station 76 units were assigned the RIT. Station 70 (Bethany Beach) provided cover up for Station 84. The State Fire Marshal (FM-10, Miller) is investigating the cause of the fire. Story By: Chief, Doug Scott
