Serious Motorcycle Accident - Route 26 and Omar Road

On Sunday September 17 at 6:51 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Route 26 and Omar Road. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to find the operator of a small motorcycle with serious injuries after failing to negotiate a curve on Route 26. Emergency personnel from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedic Unit provided initial treatment to the victim. The motorcyclist was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury by the Delaware State Police helicopter.
