On Wednesday September 27 at 10:07 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Roxana Road near the intersection of Powell Farm Road. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle accident. One of the vehicles, a Cadillac Escalade, had left the road and came to a stop in a soybean field. Ambulance personnel provided initial treatment at the scene to the driver of the Escalade, and then transported her to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. The driver of the other vehicle refused treatment. There were no passengers in either vehicle. Fire Chief Graig Temple turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.
