Motorcycle Accident - Old Mill and Railway Roads
October 29, 2006
On Sunday October 29 at 4:27 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motorcycle accident at Old Mill and Railway Roads. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to find the operator of a small dirt bike involved in an accident. An 8-year-old boy had been dirt bike riding with his family and friends in a field when his motorcycle fell, resulting in an injury to his left leg. Since the youngster was responsibly riding with adults, they were able to report the emergency immediately. Emergency personnel from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedic Unit provided initial treatment to the victim. The motorcyclist was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury by the Delaware State Police helicopter. Chief Graig Temple turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.
